Harvest season is in full swing!
With the help of our partners at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County, we are offering a new series of events at the Gail V. Wells Food Forest this August: Food Forest Fridays! Spend the lunch hour learning and experiencing how plants grown right here in Buffalo nurture health and abundance.
On Friday, August 14th from 1-2 PM, Everett Sauter, CCE Erie Nutrition and Urban Gardening Educator, will be harvesting basil and making pesto.
On Friday, August 28th from 1-2 PM our Director, Deidra EmEl, will offer a workshop on seed saving as we prepare for seasonal transitions in the garden.
Register by emailing jah633@cornell.edu or call (716) 652-5400 x176.

This summer the Food Forest has been showered not just in water for thirsty plants, but in song, rhythm, and heartfelt performance. We hope you’ll return to the Food Forest as we celebrate the season’s bounty and taste delicious food grown right here in JFK Park.
